I was so lucky to meet Lyndal and Gabby!!
It started with a message from Gita, my college friend. She asked me whether i was free on Saturday. I said yes and asked why. She told me that we're offered to teach some 'bule' how to dance a traditional dance. *bule is a word we use to call foreigner.* Me? Teaching? i've never done that before! But i agreed -__- I was thinking that it could be a cool experience haha.
the day was coming... Gita and i didn't know where to start. we decided to show them the dance, it's Nawung Sekar.
I was too shy to say a word. hahaha. i'm not used to speak to native English speaker. but then i could handle it. if we dare to speak everything will be all right, plus they spoke clearly so it was easy to understand what they said. there was a trouble in the middle of 'class' they were confused when i said left and right. it's not that i don't know the meaning of 'left' and 'right', but i just can't tell left from right. i have left/right confusion :o sometimes it's hard to differentiate left and right. *i hope this is not such a serious problem* but thanks to Lyndal for giving me a tip to solve my silly problem...
this dance is simple. and the two girls, Lyndal and Gabby learnt so fast that they could finish the whole dance in just few hours. They were pretty good, though there're some parts they couldn't do. it's because lyndal's leg was hurt and so was gabby's knee :(
here is the video of their performance. haha i like the zombie part. there were some movements that turned to be the zombie movement hahaha.
what a cool experience~
